The standard of hygiene in the private dental offices has always been an important preoccupation of the “SSO” (Swiss Dental Society). Its members apply very precise and regularly updated directives.

The “ ODIM” (latest update 20.3.2010) imposes a very strict federal prescription concerning hygiene, sterilization and traceability in all Swiss Dental Offices.

The “ Médecin Cantonal “ is responsible for its application and he organizes regular controls.
